I am at a complete loss to understand how you can respect yourself as a physician who claims to care for his patients without so much as taking the time to return a phone call to hear my very real concerns about the very real communication problems that exist in your offices. I suppose there?? For my part, I find that nothing short of offensive and truly shameful. Charles E. My partner and I began seeing Dr. McDonough in always finding him to be knowledgeable and clever especially regarding HIV and associated conditions.

However his practice was almost always a long frustrating ordeal which required time and engery always better needed elsewhere. Appointment wait times under 45 min are rare - and typically the wait would be hours from your scheduled time to actually seeing the Dr. If you have sticky insurance be prepared for some issues as he typically orders massive amounts of lab tests and getting RX's refilled is a multiple day process of phone calls and forms faxed.

If you are hospitalized, you wont see him much and dealing with immediate needs often take a couple days like getting pain management procedures in place a very long time when your laying in a hospital bed. Also, in spite of a 20 year history of Xanex use without ever having an addition issue to it - every time I ask to refill the RX his office tells me "no" followed by several days of unnecessary and exhausting phone sessions to have it re-written again.

I am a Professional in Entertainment and am committed to maintaining my health but don't have the time or patience to spend going to Vista Medical. Brian T. Infected in , I faced so many, many challenges with this disease. I've had to dedicate my life to my health and Dr.

Mcdonough has seen me throw EVER step of the way. I've followed him from three different offices because no one individual has ever shown me more compassion, understanding and just such excellence in the field of medicine.

I was one of dr. Mcdonoughs' first female patients and we faced much uncharted territory together. But that never stopped Dr. Mcdonough from working endless hours on my problems, Dr. McDonough is constantly flying all over the world to continually learn about this evolving disease.

On more then one occasion, dr. Mcdonough conferred at these world summits with medical leaders on My case. He Literally brought the world to my door. He is an amazing doctor and his adrenaline - you Cannot believe how much this man can accomplish in just one day. He has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. Lisa L. I've been his patient for over five years now and have sent both friends and family to him. He is the most intelligent doctor I have come across in a long time and I've seen many with my health problems.

Dr McDonough is not the type of person to run in and out of the room with out getting to the source of the problem. I'm not sure what's wrong with the other reviewer but I've always had to wait a little to see the best doctors and he's worth it. I wouldn't have the quality of life I have without him. Thank you Dr McDonough! When I first started coming to the doctor everything was great, but as time went on, the service became completely shoddy. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

First of all, they call you in for everything. They bill your insurance. They make you wait for over an hour in the waiting room. I know people that have had examinations without using rubber gloves while touching genatalia which frankly is just gross considering the amount of contaminants they doctor probably comes into contact with.

I have gone in and actually NOT seen the doctor because the wait times and they haven't refunded my copay even though the doctor didn't see me.

David McDonogh is a racket. I've been seeing Dr. McDonough for the past 2 or 3 years and I can't say enough about the good doctor.

He has taken great care of me. He has taught much better eating habits. I now have control of my asthma, my cholesterol is at it's lowest in many years. He's great. I read some of the negative reviews and I'm really sorry those people haven't found him to be a magnificent source of knowledge.

When he doesn't have the answer for what ever reason Oh sure sometimes I have to wait a couple of hours but my theory is if he's spending that much time with the patient before, it shows me that he will take the same amount of time with me. That proves to me that he cares about all of his patients. He only has 2 hands, 2 legs and a gigantic heart. So be patient you patients. He'll get to you and you will reap the benefits.

Ann C. McDonough is an excellent internist. He is very thorough, when it comes to finding out what ails you. He was able to locate issues that could have been detrimental to my health, but with his persistence and follow through, saved me and my kids from an unnecessary trauma down the road leading us to unforeseen territory, but due to his professional insight. He diagnosed Factor V Laden Mutation a blood clotting disease, that effected me and some of my children, we're grateful for his knowledge on such a disease that effects many unexpectedly.

Thanks Doc. Ron W. David McDonough is a doctor that cares. He goes the extra mile to make sure his patients are cared for properly. He keep them informed with the lastest medical technology and shows them how to do preventive care.

Thank you so much, Dr. Rosemary W. David McDonough talks to me in words that I as a patient can understand. He takes time with me, He does extensive research on my condition and is able to put me at ease. McDonough leaves no stone unturned with his patients. If I have to wait to see him it's well worth the wait. I have referred friends and relatives to him because I trust his knowledge and his integrity. I respect him. I also have the utmost respect for his front and back office staff.

The front staff members are intelligent, polite, courteous, well groomed and handle me and my information with privacy. The back office staff members make every effort to put me at ease while preparing me for the doctor.

I am grateful that I've found an internist that I have full confidence in. Plus living in Beverly Hills allows me to be just a few minutes away when I need to see my doctor.

If you're looking for a guy who takes pride in his work and respects his patients Zoe C. McDonough is worth the wait. He takes the time to analyze what you feel and describe as a patient and then to order the necessary labs to confirm his initial diagnosis and, may I say that in all the years that I have been in his care he has never been wrong. He is among the very best diagnosticians.

He treats medicine as a science and an art which I am truly thankful for. His recommended therapies are not strictly formulaic. They are in the forefront of the field. McDonough has excellent credentials and experience. He is recognized globally among his peers for his expertise. I can not say enough about the care which you will receive at this practice.

There is no better time invested. I would travel great distances and have to be under his care. Alex G. It's funny reading some of these reviews, doctor McDonough has been my doctor for over 10 years. Sure the practice is busy, I've waited for an hour or two but he's the best! Not someone who rushes in and sums up your illness in 5 minutes and runs out.

When he's finished taking care of you, you know you are getting the best care possible. I've referred about 20 friends and family over the years and they are still thanking me to this day. I've been ill most of my life and have had many doctors but none as good as this man. John M. McDonough is a caring, knowledgeable and empathetic doctor, but the office experience can be a nightmare.

McDonough typically runs hours late for appointments - very inconsiderate of his patients' time. Office seems disorganized and staff turnover is high. Receptionist is too busy chatting to attend to patients or answer the phone. Files are a mess. Doctor orders lots of lab work is it all really necessary? Don't fall for the orthodics, which are a waste of time and money.

Mike S. This practice is a scam. Save yourself from bringing your current records and lab tests, everything will be re-done no matter you had it done the day before, and then you'll be stung by bills you never saw throughout your whole medical life. All kinds of scare tactcs will be deployed to make you accept further unnecessary testing, whether you need it or not, In my case I didnt need it. Terrible experience. Any physician that knows you better than you know yourself He has been a confidant for 10 years and his professionalism surpasses average.

Very caring and considerate doctor. Extremely thorough. Listens very carefully and attentively. Wonderful bedside manners. Very calm and soothing. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Darianna K. I have been a patient of Dr McDonough for 10 years now and he has turned my life around. He is caring and extremely knowledgeable and never talks down to you but teaches you all he knows about your illness. If it wasn't for him I'm sure the quality of my life would be drastically worse. I can't thank him enough for his time and energies he has given me. Paul W. He's a very aggressive internist.
