My high school friends encourages me to take up this course and transfer to their school. About my college education: Customs administration course is very interesting. It is not all merely about taxation, logistics and transportation but a combination of different subject matter as an engineer, chemist, teacher and lawyer role in to one. I have learned about the history of customs administration, how it got started and it's important role in our society and government when it comes on collecting taxes, prevention of smuggling and for public health and safety.
The most difficult subjects are the maritime law, common carriers law, and the warehouse receipt law which is essential in international trade in defining trade rules and their obligation over the merchandise. We also run our own brokerage firm. Am I using what I learned in college: Everything I have learned in college has become very useful to me, specially when it comes on coordination with our clients and with the government. Right now we are also running our own brokerage firm.
How long did it take to find a job: In about a month or two.
