How to make recovery discs windows xp

It may even appear to go backwards sometimes. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Windows was installed on the computer when it was bought and a restore disk was never made. I can fix all of the problems with the computer if i can just get it to boot, a young user has badly corupted serval files includeing the firewall. I just need to be able to run windows, fix the files and create a restore disk incase this happens again.

Further, it has limited functions. We advised that you make use of our freeware to make a bootable CD and you can as well make your USB bootable recovery USB flash disk using our freeware. The recovery disk made by our freeware includes the proper and right tools to fix Windows XP and other free helpful tools that are produced by us. Examples of these are the password recovery, data recovery, disk clone, disk image and the partition manager.

My suggestion is that you obtain cloning or imaging software and create a clone or an image of your hard drive. This will enable you to restore the entire system -- not just Windows, but all of your applications and data -- just the way it was at the time the image or clone was created.

The catch here is that you'll have to put the clone or image on a hard drive typically, people use an externally-connected drive for this purpose because it will be much larger than will fit on a CD or DVD. A cloned drive can be just swapped in for the existing drive and will run with no further ado. Of course, you'll have to remove the drive from its external enclosure in order to put it into the computer. An image must be restored to the drive in the computer using the software that created the image.

Typically, imaging software includes a means to create a bootable CD that boots to a non-Windows environment from which you can restore the image from your external hard drive.
